Discover a New York you’ve never seen before at NU Hotel, part of the Independent Collection of hotels. In Brooklyn NY, you’ll experience the incredible diversity, artistic spirit, and DIY attitude that make this borough so distinct from the others. Our staff is here to help you make the most of this neighborhood, whether it’s finding the perfect Brooklyn restaurants before your show at the Barclays Center, loaning you a NU bike to explore Brooklyn arts and culture, or suggesting a few local Brooklyn boutique shops to pick up your very own BKLYN-made products. If you’re here to celebrate, we can help you arrange everything from the perfect bachelorette weekend in NYC to a Brooklyn baby moon trip for first-time parents!

While you’re here, wake up to a complimentary breakfast served in Misdemeanor, our lobby bar and lounge. Our boutique hotel provides a healthy selection of breakfast items, including cereals, fruits, boiled eggs, and bagels. Beverages include juices and an array of teas and coffee. Breakfast is served daily from 6am-10am Monday to Friday and from 7am-11am on Saturday and Sunday.

Being New Yorkers, we know how important it is to stay connected, so NU Hotel offers free Wi-Fi access in every guest room as well as in the lobby and lounge.  Our business center is also open 24 hours a day with complimentary printing.

If you’re in search of the perfect morning workout, check out our 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment or learn more about the Brooklyn fitness and wellness programs that we offer, including our special NU You Tuesday workouts over the Brooklyn Bridge.

When it’s finally time to kick back, indulge in a bite and a drink at our Misdemeanor café and bar, where we serve delectable Better Burgers and handcrafted cocktails by celebrated NYC master mixologist Milos Zica. Our Brooklyn happy hour is every Tuesday through Friday from 4pm-7pm.

Restaurants

Located in close proximity to many of the great Brooklyn restaurants in the area, NU Hotel also features its own bar and lounge, Misdemeanor, conveniently located in the lobby of NU Hotel. Light, airy and the perfect mix of urban cool and laidback, Misdemeanor is among the fun restaurants of NYC from which to grab a happy hour cocktail and light bite to eat, especially before catching a show at the nearby Barclays Center. During the warmer months, Misdemeanor opens onto the street to become one of the largest sidewalk cafes in downtown Brooklyn and one of the best spots for people watching—it feels like the place to be, without really trying.

About the Location

NU Hotel is located in downtown Brooklyn in walking distance to four great Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Park Slope, and Prospect Heights. Wander south past the pristine 19th century brownstones and artist warehouses to explore local bars, restaurants, and shops. Walk or bike toward Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s version of Central Park, to discover the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, or go a bit further to find everything from Hasidic wig makers to Caribbean music shops. Circle back around toward downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO for a bit of high-end retail shopping and dining, and perhaps catch a concert or game at the Barclays Center afterward. Last but not least, don’t forget a visit to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, with its spectacular views of Manhattan crowning it all.
