The Hotel Plaza Athenee has recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation of guest rooms and suites offering a contemporary European townhouse décor. The 142 luxury hotel rooms and suites are equipped with in-room wireless Internet, plasma TVs with 300 channels including TV Globo, TV5, Deutsche Welle and RAI, movies on demand, two line speaker phones, large writing desks, marble bathrooms, Penhaligon’s amenities, safes, mini-bar and hair dryers.

All guest rooms are adorned with Sferra Italian fine linens, Asian inspired silks and contemporary French furnishings. Select rooms and all suites also feature iPod docking stations and DVD players.

Suites include hardwood floors in the living room, one and half bathrooms and sofa beds as well as full kitchenettes, perfect for the long term stays. Many of the Deluxe Suites also feature glass-enclosed terraces with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.
